Build Stronger Connections

The Nature Place offers the unique opportunity to participate in transformative teambuilding and leadership development programs. From newly formed teams getting to know each other to career colleagues looking to enhance communication, self-understanding, and group cohesion, we have worked with the full gamut of teams. These experiences leave a lasting impact after the retreat and have led to a high client return rate.

Having done the team challenges I am more able to be creative with my team, and to think critically.

A Personalized Approach

The portfolio of training activities at The Nature Place provides an unparalleled curriculum for team and leadership development. We understand that no two teams are the same. To that end, we design the experiences to best fit the needs of your group. First, we listen to understand what your organization’s culture, particular situation, and goals are. We then work with you to customize the design of your program accordingly to blend seamlessly with your content, and to choose appropriate activities and scenarios that tie in directly with your real-world environment.

Training Methodologies

Insights

Focusing on four color energies (Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green, and Cool Blue), this assessment provides a foundation for understanding an individual’s strengths, weaknesses, and style. When applied to a team, this profile can help understand overall group dynamics, interactions, and give language and tools for enhancing team effectiveness.

DISC

Similar to Insights, DISC focuses on four domains (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness) to profile individual skills and style and how they interact in a team setting. With easy to remember language, this assessment can be applied to any team to deepen connection and understanding.

CliftonStrengths

Across 4 domains (Strategic Thinking, Executing, Influencing, and Relationship Building) and 34 talent themes, Gallup’s CliftonStrengths offers several levels of detail on an individual’s strengths. With a highlight on someone’s top 5 traits, profiles give real insight into talents and consistent traits across time.

Leadership Practices Inventory

Developed by Kouzes and Posner, the Leadership Practices Inventory focuses on the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership to understand an individual’s leadership style. It provides insight into how individuals see themselves versus how others see themselves.

Myers Briggs

A common self-report personality profile, Myer Briggs has 16 personality types. The assessments are broad and provide details to the specific personality type, not necessarily unique to the individual.

My perception about being successful has changed. The Nature Place program with Insights Discovery helped me understand how to overcome the fear that I had of the 'sticking points' that exist in our team. I am much more confident and skillful now in getting past these challenging points.
