Nature Retreats
YOUR OUTDOOR ESCAPE
More to Explore
The Nature Place is an outdoor retreat center located in the foothills of Pikes Peak. With over 100 miles of hiking and biking trails on 6,000 acres of rolling hills, open fields, and ponderosa forests, there is plenty of onsite opportunities to get outside.
Naturally Colorado
At about 9000 feet of elevation our montane ecosystem has many animals and flora unique to Colorado. Elk, foxes, deer and birds are some of our most commonly seen animals. Our forest right outside your lodging door are full of Ponderosa Pines, Aspen Groves, Fir and Spruce. If you’re looking for evening activities before settling into your room by the wood burning fireplace, a favorite is the observatory with large telescope that has a 17.5in mirror. We have natural dark skies in Teller County offering the perfect opportunity for stargazing, constellation spotting and maybe even witness the milky way.
