The Colorado Springs Airport is located 52 miles or 45 Minutes from The Nature Place. Denver International Airport is located 125 miles OR 2 ½ hours drive from our facility.
We are approximately 100 miles from central Denver (2 hour drive) and 35 miles from downtown Colorado Springs (1 hour drive).
Lots of layers, we are close to 9,000ft in elevation so the weather can be chilly even during the summer. Bringing a rain jacket, and a warm coat is highly encouraged. Appropriate footwear is important as all of our buildings are accessed outside via gravel and sometimes snowy pathways.
Yes, and it has great bandwidth for our remote location.
Most carriers provide a bar or two in certain areas.
Florissant is located 10 minutes from our facilities and has a convenience store, a liquor store and a gas station.
The closest town of size is Woodland Park, which is a 30-minute drive east on Highway 24. Several grocery stores, restaurants, health food stores, Walgreens, WalMart, and a movie theater are located there.
We recommend you book 6 or more months ahead of your event, depending on the size of your group and flexibility of dates. Summer and fall months fill up the quickest and many of our repeat clients reserve particular dates 2-4 years in advance.

Ski Monarch and Breckenridge are approximately 90 minutes from The Nature Place. Keystone and Copper Mountain are a two-hour drive. We have cross-country skiing on site when we have enough snow.
We kindly ask that you do not smoke or vape in or near cabins, on the front porch, or on any of the grassy areas on the property. Please ask our staff to direct you where smoking is permitted. You may smoke or vape in the designated areas near any of the ash receptacles or the dirt parking lot at the east end of the property near the Bristlecone conference room.
Sorry, we like pets but they are not allowed at our facility. There are several boarding services in Woodland Park and Colorado Springs. Please contact our office to make accommodations for your service animal.
Please use the Directions As you get close watch for signs for The Nature Place Check-In A GPS may get you close, but sometimes tends to navigate through locked gates or high clearance roads so please also reference the written directions.
